I again needed something to fill the gap between some book club books that were a little more on the thick side. So I turned to the light-hearted yet sometimes profound Mitford Series. Always an enjoyable read.
Single parents were a dime a dozen in today's world. Such a thing rolled off the back of modern society like water off a duck; it had become the common run of so-called civilian life.
