The book that's actually on the reading list is the second in this series, but starting there seemed silly to me, so we picked up the first one. It's an amusing collection of stories told from a grandmother to her granddaughter. It usually involves her getting in to some kind of predicament and finding her way out of it.
Having read the second book before, I'd say it's better than this one; funnier stories from what I remember. But Carolyn enjoyed this book!
