"I liked it because all the people are nice and the stories are good. My favorite story was the hard times party one, because she thought people she was stuck up but then she found out that her dress was too small. The town she lives in, which is called Pitchfork, OR, gets a library, and she gets a book she wants called Black Beauty."

Last week and this week we're studying WWII for history. It took a while for these to come in at the library so had to wait a bit to get our picture in. I remember reading Snow Treasure when I was around the boys' ages! Here's some of the books we selected:

Passage to Freedom: The Sugihara Story, by Ken Mochizuki, illustrated by Dom Lee

Snow Treasure, by Marie McSwigan

Who Was Albert Einstein?, by Jess Brallier

One Candle, by Eve Bunting, illustrated by K. Wendy Poppyseeds

The Little Ships, by Louise Borden, illustrated by Michael Foreman

Terrible Things, by Eve Bunting, illustrated by Stephen Gammell

Do you have any WWII based books you would add to our list?
