Upstream, by Mary Oliver

12/60 | Started 02.26.25 • Finished 03.06.25 | 3 stars

While I enjoy Mary Oliver's poetry, I wasn't sure what to expect from her essays. I did enjoy many of them, but began to find them kind of repetetive; or maybe it's just that she's so brilliant and some of it was over my head. *shrug*

I Cheerfully Refuse, by Leif Enger

11/60 | Started 02.12.25 • Finished 02.25.25 | 5 stars

If dystopian along with not knowing the whole story appeals to you, this is right up your alley. Signature Leif Enger style, within a whole new genre. Fantastic character development and compelling plot.

Her kindness was like water over smooth stones.
