Set in the fictional Irish town of Faha, this novel centers around a country doctor named Jack and his daughter Ronnie. One night, a young boy in town discovers an abandoned baby with the help of some townsmen, delivers the baby to Jack's door. I loved getting to know Jack and Ronnie, as well as the quirks of Faha's people, and the extraordinary events that occurred during the time of the child. Though slow at points, this one is a must read.
