Squanto, Friend of the Pilgrims

This book is about a man named Squanto. He was an Indian in the Patuxet tribe. One day, he was watching a boat in the bay near his village. The boat had some white men in it and soon he went on a trip with the white men to London. He meant to be gone for a few years, but instead he was gone for a long time. He was brought across the sea by a rude guy named Captain Hunt, who sold him into slavery. However, Squanto escaped and was able to get back to London and then to his homeland. When he came into the clearing where his village was supposed to be, the entire village was gone. He found another Indian who said that a sickness had come and overwhelmed his tribe. So Squanto went to live with that Indian. A few days later, all the Indians, except for Squanto, went back home. Why did Squanto not leave? Because he was already home. I liked the entire book. 5 stars.
